Flying high in first class
AudioControl's Altitude A800.1 mono subwoofer amplifier's sleek
anodized aluminum chassis protects the precision high-spec electronic
components inside and provides high-temperature thermal dispersion
through its stylish cooling fins. AudioControl designed this Altitude
amplifier to power the subwoofer system in almost any vehicle —
including modern hybrids, EVs, and other vehicles with stop-start
electrical systems.
Performance
The A800.1 can power a single 4-ohm sub with 400 watts RMS, for those
who want to add some bass-fill to their overall sound. For a 2-ohm sub
setup, the amp'll put out 600 watts, so you'll hear and feel all the
fine details of the bass clearly when you're on the go. Adjustable
low-pass and subsonic crossovers plus a parametric-style bass boost help
achieve perfect bass tone. In Spike Mode, the amp can handle three
4-ohm subs, wired together in parallel to equal a 1.33-ohm load, and
send them a total of 800 watts, over 260 watts per sub. An optional wired remote bass knob lets you control the sub level from your front seat.
Volume-level security
The A800.1 has a Valet Mode feature that limits the amp's volume to
25% of its maximum when you engage it with your custom-installed switch
(not included) — so parking lot attendants or your teenagers' friends
can't damage your subwoofers by cranking up the volume too high when
you're not around
